There once was a lion who lost his crown
He turned his palace upside down
Looking here and looking there
But couldn't find it anywhere

He gave an order to his guards
To thoroughly search the palace yards
And he would handsomely reward
By making the finder a Knight or a Lord

It couldn't be found and he started to moan
"A Lions not a King without a crown"
He sat on his throne with his head in his hands
The saddest Lion in all the Lands

He was too upset to notice where
A little Mouse was listening under his chair
Then boldly the mouse spoke from down on the ground
"I know King Lion where your crown can he found"

The Lion roared in sheer delight
And gave the little mouse such a fright
"Show me where you saw it last"
The Lion said with choking gasp

They traveled through the jungle where
The Fireflies gave a, ghostly glare
And there in a clearing he jumped with surprise
For there was his crown in front off his eyes

Now the Lion wears his crown- again
Once more the King of his Domain
When asked his reward the mouse said "please,
A life time supply of Royal Cheese"
