Considering that in Israel in the month of December the temperatures are remarkably low, the first Christian Roman emperor was Constantine in the 1st century, that the Romans celebrated the cult of the Sun God between December 23 and 25. and the intention that was had to attract the Romans to Christianity.

Do you consider that Jesus could truly have been born in a manger almost in the open on December 24?

Christmas is a beautiful and tender legend since Jesus wasn't born on December 24, neither was he born in Bethlehem nor in a manger. The legend of the birth of Jesus tells that he was born in winter, in a manger, among animals that offered him warmth; he was worshiped by three kings of the East who brought him gold, incense, and myrrh as gifts.

The real Jesus that would give rise to the future Christianity was born without the singing of angels, without magicians who came from the East to adore him, without manger and without being persecuted by Herod. He was not born on December 24, for the simple fact that none of the Gospel texts speaks of that date. It was chosen by the Church later because Christians wanted to celebrate the feast of Jesus' birth. It was decided that the date to celebrate would be December 24 because it was the great feast of Rome, the feast of the Sun god. The Church thus baptized the great pagan festivity of the Romans as a Christian worship day.

So, if Jesus was not born in Bethlehem or on December 24, is it worth celebrating Christmas? Yes, because that legend carries in its heart the longing of human beings to stop once a year to celebrate life, peace, forgiveness and the acceptance of others.

No, because no one knows, but symbolically, his conception was chosen as March 25 because the new year used to start at the beginning of spring. Also, being born on December 25 adds to the symbolism of the "light of the world" being born during the darkest time of the year.

I read somewhere that no one knows his exact date of birth. But you know, people like to celebrate something and tend to praise their Gods and saviors. I think that people wrote that Jesus was born on December 24. Also, the evening before Christmas in Catholic countries is on 24th December whereas in East Ortodox countries the evening before Christmas is on 6th January. I think no one knows the real date of his birth.

I think that nobody really knows that exact date, but there seems to have been a tradition that developed where his birth is celebrated on December 24.

I don't believe that that is the exact date that Jesus was born. What is important to me is the fact that Jesus was born to save us from the penalty of our sins which is hell and the lake of fire.

Jesus was not born on 25th December but He was given unto us. Jesus was there even before time. In order to be human, he was to be born like a baby and that was not on 25th December.

Was Jesus born on December 24 really: I believed that Jesus Christ was born but not exactlly ij December 24 because it was only a projected date to celebrate this celebration. It was said in the holy bible that Jesus was born in a low temperature kind of weather on the year and that the one reason why the eldest choose the December to be the choosen month. I am not sure why they choosebthe date 24 but one thing I can say. What is important is Jesus Christ was born for us to be saved from our sins, gow graet is our God. He is worthy to be praise, lets thanks and praise him.

Actually the Bible is silent about the exact date of the birth of Jesus, so we cannot really pinpoint the actual date.

The Bible never said anything about the exact day or time when Jesus Christ was born. I feel some people just came together to agree on a certain day in the year when His birth would be celebrated.

It is not a big deal whether Jesus was born in December or June. What is important to me as a Christian is that he died on the cross to wash away my sins. The birthday of Jesus is used to downplay his great works by those who want to.

I don't care much about the exact date. I wish the people of old have recorded it. If there are historians the clue is it was during the time where there is census.

What is important to me is the real event that took place. It doesn't bother me to really know the exact time.

I think He was not born on December 24. I don't care if that is true, what is important to me is the fact that Jesus came to earth to save us from our sins.

I think it is not necessary to know the exact date of the birth of Jesus. It is sufficient to know the fact that the Messiah has come to save his people from their sins.

No he wasn't born on december 25th. He was born no one knows when. It's just the Pagans who assigned this date so that they can have something to celebrate. That's why if you are celebrating Christmas for Yeshua, Don't. Just make it another thanksgiving or a family reunion. Else, You are trying to uphold Pagan traditions.

I believe he was not born on that date. What is important for me is the fact He was born here on earth because of His love for us.

No one knows the exact date and time Jesus was born. But what's important is He is born in this sinful world to save us. Even experts cannot pinpoint the exact date. Yes, some says it may be around April to May, others says September to early November. It cannot be determinned that's why the Catholic set the date of December to be the day we celebrate the birth of our savior Jesus Christ. For me, it doesn't matter anymore whether it's the exact date or not, as long as we are united as one in celebrating on His birthday. Maybe even Jesus understand it if were on the wrong date as long as He sees our pure faith and unity for Him.
