We are an alternative education provider for secondary age students, supported by the local authority.
I've been asked, by my line manager, to research and identify the interventions used by alternative education providers, like ourselves, with students in KS3 & 4. However, some of our students reading ages are lower than the average and we seek approaches used in both secondary and primary schools.
If possible, could you please answer the following three questions?
What we would like to identify is:
How do you improve reading?
How do you teach reading?
What interventions do you or have you used, that have had the greatest affect?
