| I set up tuition centre in Guildford for English & Maths, specialising in helping students of all abilities from 6 – 16 years old achieve their potential in English and Maths. Preparation for SAT’s, GCSE’s, common entrance and scholarship exams at 11 and 13. Previously I managed a group of 300+ pupils and associated staff, with responsibility for the academic and personal development of year group, leading a team of tutors, liaison with Heads of faculty regarding policy / curriculum changes, development of team, communication with outside agencies and day to day running of year group. I was a line manager responsible as appraiser, including observation, informal and formal interviews and target setting |

| Professional Biography | After many years as a Head of Year in a large comprehensive I set up a specialist tutoring business in Guildford tutoring Maths and English. I specialised in KS2, 3 & 4 and have helped children of all ages and abilities achieve their potential through a caring and understanding approach based on 30 plus years of teaching and tutoring. |
