An animated short film about what exactly happened to the American economy

I have to agree, not so much the point as a history lesson. I do think it was created well and kept my attention. It also makes you realize how someone can get trapped into debt by trying to have it all. Maybe it should be shown to high school students as a "don't let this happen you" video.

How do you teach creativity to children?

First to me everyone is born with a sense of creativity. Each person has their own sense of drive and wanting to create. Having 4 grown children, that are all creative in their own right. Picking something that each of them had a passion for was the first step in showing them how to translate...

    Depression, does it stop creativity?

At times I do find myself in a depressed state. My creativity doesn't seem to fall to the waste side though. I find my work tends to be more obscure and dark though. After I have come out of my bouts of depression, I tend to go back and edit my work. To make it more of the real me creation.

    Marriage

Unfortunately I do see a decline. To me marriage is a union to with two people who choose to display their union in the presence of their love ones. I think nothing is more special. Being a older woman I guess a little of it has to do with the world around me while growing up. Today younger...

    What inspires you?

Being a creative person I started this thread with my family and nature as my inspiration. Recently I watched as my first grandchild was brought into the world. Yes, you could still say that family was my inspiration. This gies deeper though. The night I returned home after his birth, my...

What do you guys think about global warming?

I know some people believe do and some people don't believe of global warming. I am a believer, to me it only makes sense. Polar ice caps melting at alarming rates, fewer iceberg traffic and animals losing their habitats. These aren't theories, they are scientific facts. Everyone is entitled to...

What are you doing today? :)

For the last 27 hours I have been in the hospital awaiting the arrival of my first grandchild. Jason Maxwell is definatly taking his time, to introduce himself to us. Alittle stubborn I think. Hopefully soon, he'll arrive.

    Fish photograph

The fish are gorgeous. I like the blurry element. Not only does it make it look really watery as you said. It also shows movement. It makes you believe the fish are moving. Good job. I agree Koi are wonderful fish. Several years back we had a pond with several Koi, watching them was breath taking.

When you die, what would you want to be remembered for?

Great thread! I know this will sound corny and cliche, but I won't to be remembered for being a good mother. My children mean more than world to me, grown or not. I strived to not only be their mother, but a friend also. Most of my life was devoted to their health and well being. Yes I missed...

    Are Workshops Well Attended?

When I worked we also had the problem with attendance. My employer started a program to give 4.5 hours of PTO time for attending. No matter the length of the workshop you received 4.5 hours. Attendance definatly picked up, but still there were those that didn't want to be bothered. Workshops...

    Get up, right now !

Very cute. I love the neutral colors of the background. It makes the little girls dress really pop. The flower petals also grabbed my eye. What a simple photo with slot to say.

An image that celebrates colour, post your own here

I love that, it's very beautiful! I have went back several times to view it. Sometimes I think of a under the sea world. Other times it reminds me of a blooming flower. That's the wonderful thing about art. We are all open to our own interpretation of the piece. I look forward to seeing more of...

Senior Citizens, are they left on the side?

While driving in my car I came to a intersection that had many people waiting to cross. On the right I was drawn to a elderly lady with a cane. There were construction barriers placed around the ramp part of the sidewalk stopping pedestrians from crossing there. Which meant you had to step down...

    THE INVINCIBLE GANGSTER

Having distant family members affiliated with the mob, I found this extremely riveting. Gangsters/mobsters and research is a hobby of mine. Your insight into how society changed their views of where crime actually had a foothold, was spot on in my opinion. Great Job!

    Children's Story Idea

I have been working on a children's book which is almost completed. I'm tweaking a few things, and have some illustration to finish. I haven't shown it to anyone, or spoke of the storyline. Thought I could give you a brief outline, and maybe get some input. Main character is a porcupine who...

A Sample From An Untitled Story Of Mine

It looks like your off to a great start. I love the hiding in the bushes. It's kind of reminds me of Cyrano DeBergerac, of course without the lines being feed. I'm anxious to read more.

    What inspires you?

We've all been there. Feeling the need or want to be creative, but just can't come up with a lead or idea to give us a jump start. When "blocked" what do you do to help motivate or inspire you? I have 2 tricks that work for me. First I grab a large cup of java and then go sit out on the...

Reality Shows, Is It Really Reality?

With the explosion of reality shows being brought into our homes, it's hard not to get caught up in the "realisim" of them all. I am of course not talking about the competition type reality shows such as Survivor, Amazing Race, Undercover Boss or any of the talent shows that are popping up on...
