A fun visual spelling game to search for words within words, where you can choose to do visual word recognition or allow unjoined letter use (anagrams). Great for selecting a large word and letting students work independently or for the competitive, you can have teams work to get the most words or create a timed challenge for teams or individuals.

Frozen Tag - Stuck in the Mud

Stuck in the mud is a tradition 'tag' game and is a great heart raiser for any age. Also known as Stuck in the Mud, Scarecrow, Sticky-Glue, Zombie Tag, or Ice-and-Water (in Asia), players who are tagged are "stuck in the mud" or "frozen" and must stand in place with their arms stretched out until they are unfrozen.

This activity will help the learner spell words by thinking about rules and conventions in a fun way. While you can use rules to help establish prefix and suffixes you must remember that there are exceptions.
